Can I make Chicken & Wild Rice Soup on the stovetop? Yes! In a large Dutch oven or soup pot, whisk together cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and water. Stir in a box of long grain and wild rice and canned carrots. Place chicken breasts in the pot. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked. Remove the chicken from the pot and shred with two forks.
Can substitute rotisserie chicken or any cooked chicken for the raw chicken if made on the stovetop.
Can Chicken and Rice Soup be frozen? Yes! Cook the soup and cool it completely. Transfer the soup to freezer-safe containers and freeze for up to 3 months.
